Here are some answers from some of our most asked questions.

  • Where is the Charles County Fair?
    We are located about 3 miles south of La Plata at 8440 Fairgrounds Road, right off of the northbound side of US Route 301. Signs are located on Route 301 highlighting our location.
  • How much does it cost to attend?
    Admission is $10.00 for those over 10 years of age. Those under 11 years of age, there is no charge. Season passes are available for $25.00 and can be purchased at any entry gate. On the Friday of the fair, all school children are admitted free from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
  • Can I bring my dog/cat/pet to the fair?
    No, pets are not allowed on the grounds with two exceptions. Service animals are always allowed for those authorized to have them and the participants of the dog and pet shows may bring their animals into the fair for the duration of the event. Once the show is concluded, the animal must be removed from the grounds.
  • Is alcohol allowed at the fair?
    No, public consumption or possession of alcohol is not allowed on the fairgrounds at any time during the fair.
  • Is there an ATM available for use at the fair?
    Yes, we will have three ATMs available during the fair. One will be located just inside the fairgrounds near the Main Gate. Other ATMs will be located just inside the South Gate and outside the Fair Office behind the Commercial “A” building. (subject to change)
