Parking Information
Free general parking is available on the fairgrounds.
Parking lot staff will be available to assist everybody to park during the fair.
Free parking is also available at our satellite lot in La Plata at the Charles County Courthouse and Government Building.
We strongly recommend using our satellite parking lot at the Charles County Courthouse and Government Building parking lot and take a free shuttle bus to the fair! We have dedicated a special bus lane from Rt. 301 right to our main gate for faster service! Beat the traffic!
Shuttle Bus Operating Times
Thursday – 5:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.
Friday and Saturday – 12:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.
(last pickup from Courthouse will be 7:00 p.m., return buses run until 11:00 p.m.)
Sunday – 12:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Buses run every 15 to 30 minutes.
Please follow the on-site signs and park responsibly!
Driving Directions
We are located at the Charles County Fair Grounds, 3 miles south of the town of La Plata on Fairgrounds Road just off of US Route 301 in historic Southern Maryland. During fair time, just follow the signs.
Our road address is 8440 Fairgrounds Road.
From the Washington DC Beltway: Take Exit 7A, Branch Ave south (MD Route 5), nine miles to US Route 301 south. Follow US Route 301 south approximately 18 miles through Waldorf and La Plata. Fairgrounds are on the left.
From Virginia (King George): Take US Route 301 north across the Harry Nice/Mac Middleton Bridge and go about ten miles. Fairgrounds will be on the right on Fairground Road.
